What's in a name

The name you use on you email is important. It can help you stand out in someone's inbox.

If I leave my name as James, it makes it easier for someone to pass my email by. If I show my name as James | Email Marketing then it helps remind the reader who I am. It's all about branding even if you don't think you are doing it, you are building a brand by sending an email newsletter.

If you are sending the email weekly, using your own name can work well. People start to expect your email on the day you send it.

If you are like me an a bit less frequent or monthly then it could help to add something in the name to stand out. It's a reminder of who this person is and why are they emailing me.
